It is our task to warn the consumer and to help him to understand the peril he is now in and the terrible jeopardy his family is living under. We are not stupid but we are very busy and we have been so duped.

Maybe you can accept this is as a small and belated contribution. Both papers elaborate on the role of trust in ODR. The master thesis develops a definition of trust in general and in the on line environment. I believe, what ebay and generally some markets are very good at, is creating and accruing trust and also borrowing trust. When trust means "positive expectation repeatedly met" and you have n't met before and you are maybe not even likely to ever physically meet - you need borrowed trust in this sense.
